Waste and recycling

The university works hard, with both staff and students, to manage our waste seeking opportunities to reduce waste, maximise reuse, increase recycling and divert waste from landfill at every opportunity.

The University is committed to creating a healthy, sustainable environment that is accessible for everyone.

It takes a lot of energy to support a world class university and there is a fine balance between reducing energy consumption and providing world class facilities to our staff and students.

The University has and established Biodiversity Working Group. The remit of this group is to develop and steer delivery of the Biodiversity Action Plan for the whole University.
